Ms. Clark takes pride in the personal attention and high level of legal representation she is able to provide her clients, many of whom have referred friends and family. She works as a solo practitioner with a paralegal to meet their needs and concerns.
Ms. Clark has been in private practice since 1981, and has been working in her own firm since 1987. She now concentrates in Family Law with a particular focus on mediation and Collaborative Practice. She is annually certified to act as an attorney for children by the Appellate Division, Second Department and is an active member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, previously serving as President of the Board of Directors. For twenty years, she has earned an “AV Preeminent” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell rating system and for the past four years has been named as a "Super Lawyer" by Thomson Reuters.
Ms. Clark is intensively trained in the Collaborative approach to matrimonial and family law issues. Through the collaborative process, attorneys and other professionals work with the family to reach a mutually accepted resolution of all issues. This non-adversarial approach leads to a beneficial solution without resorting to contentious court proceedings since the parties and their respective counsel specifically agree to resolve all issues using a non-litigation model. The process is designed to minimize conflict in a marriage dissolution settlement. This collaborative approach is particularly sensitive to, and protective of, the children in divorcing families.
With over 30 years of legal experience, Ms. Clark brings a high level of expertise to the benefit of her clients. Though experienced as a litigator, she is very appreciative of alternate dispute resolution models, including mediation and the Collaborative approach to divorce. She works closely with her clients to find the most appropriate and effective solution to their legal issues.
